Take a Field Trip or School Group Tour to a 108 plus-year-old Working Farm and Family-owned Orchard.

We can teach your students about exactly where the fruits and vegetables they eat come from -that they come from trees and bushes and vines – not the Acme or Giant! We can teach older students about the farm to table movement and sustainable agriculture.

We are just 30 miles from Philadelphia near Media, PA in the heart of Delaware County. Having a historic family-owned orchard like ours right in your backyard can lead to lots of learning. We can help them learn that sustainably-grown, pesticide-free fruits & veggies are an Easy CHOICE to make every day plus it shows them the many uses of all these veggies & Fruits we grow here.

Apples can make applesauce, apple cider, apple desserts, apple slices for lunches snacks, apple slices with cheese trays or you can just eat them on their own! Plus apple cider donuts, apple pie, apple cobbler and the best is our recipe for hot apple à la mode dessert very easy takes five minutes to prepare and it’s mom’s best choice on a busy workday.

Stop by for seasonal sustainably-harvested, pesticide free fruits and vegetables, & our own honey year round. It is always free to shop at our on-site farm stand! Apple picking starts in September. Indian Orchards Farm 2022 Pick your Own Fruit and Vegetables* main season opened mid-June – Oct.; our farm stand remains open year round & we sell firewood & our own honey! Main season ends Late-Oct/early Nov when Pick Your Own Apple season is done. We accept cash, major credit cards, Venmo, Paypal and Zelle.

Nov-June – free admissio , year-round, there is never a charge to shop at our farm stand, or stop and buy firewood.

During prime apple season mid-Sept. thru Oct. only, WEATHER PERMITTING, weekends/holiday admission is $11/person & incudes a Hayride (groups over 12 or more please call or text call 1st to be sure we can accommodate you; school group tours must sign up in advance).
